Notepad has no concept of pages, styles, or margins. It stores exactly the characters you typed and nothing about how they should be laid out, which is why printing straight from Notepad produces something plain and inconsistent. That is fine for a scratch file, but not for anything you are sending to someone else who expects a real document.
