iPhone users have two routes to merge PDFs without an app. The first is through Safari or Chrome by navigating to FixTools, tapping the upload zone, and letting iOS present the standard document picker, which shows iCloud Drive, On My iPhone storage, connected Google Drive or Dropbox accounts, and any other document providers you have installed. Selecting multiple PDFs at once requires iOS 13 or later: tap Browse, tap the folder containing your PDFs, then tap Select in the top-right of the Files browser to enter multi-select mode where each subsequent tap toggles a checkmark on a file. Once selected, the files upload to the tool and you can arrange them by tapping and dragging the file cards into your desired order before triggering the merge.
The second route uses the iOS Share Sheet, which is helpful when your source PDFs are attached to Mail messages or saved inside another app. Open the email or app containing the first PDF, tap the share icon, choose Save to Files, and pick a destination folder you will remember. Repeat for each PDF, then go to FixTools in Safari and upload all of them in one go from that folder. This route avoids the trap of trying to upload directly from Mail attachments, which iOS treats as ephemeral previews rather than persistent files in some Mail configurations. Once everything lives in Files, the upload step is identical to any other PDF on the device.

Performance on iPhone depends on device model and iOS version. An iPhone 14 or later handles PDF merge sessions up to about 100MB total without issues because Safari on these chips has plenty of headroom for JavaScript memory allocation. Older models such as iPhone XR or iPhone 11 work reliably up to about 50MB total before the Safari tab may reload due to memory pressure. If the tab reloads mid-merge on an older phone, try closing all other Safari tabs first to free memory for the active session, or split the merge into two smaller rounds and combine the two intermediate results in a third short merge.
